Two Great Photographers

One photographer that I like is Paul Strand. I took some photos like him and I had a good time doing it. He took black and white photos and he liked to show how the light could affect it. Paul was around during the late 1800's and the early 1900's. One of his most famous pieces of photography is the Wall Street Photo. He is a very good photographer.

Imogene Cunningham is another good photographer, she takes close up pictures of mostly flowers. She has done other things as well. Imogene is actually the person who my class is doing their next photos like. We are going to have to take close ups of anything. Imogene is a great photographer.

The Close Up Assignment

My next photography assignment is all about taking close up photos of  flowers, toys, or anything interesting that I can find. I have to set my camera at ISO 400 and the Aperture Priority has to be as low as it can be. This photography is interesting because you can see the details of the object better and you have to get the camera very close to the object. I can't wait to take these photos.

The Paul Strand Assignment

This assignment was about taking photos like Paul Strand. I took 50 photos and then picked five of them to turn into black and white. Paul usually takes close up photos of plants, rocks, and other things. I only took close ups of plants and rocks, but there is many different things you could take pictures of. I think his pictures focus on the light in the photo and how it affects the object in the photo. Paul Strand is a great photographer.

My Paul Strand Photos

These are the Paul Strand images for my Paul Strand assignment. I took these pictures of plants and rocks that are close up, just like Paul. The images of his photography that I saw had a lot of close up objects in them.

My Bad Photos

 These are the bad photos I have taken for the bad photos assignment. They are pretty bad because they are supposed to be. I would normally not take photos like these or at least try not to take photos like these.

Why am I in photography?

I am taking this class because I would like to be a better photographer someday and will hopefully get better while I'm taking this class.
